Mine right out of the box and it wouldnt vacuum, motor hums but it wouldnt vacuum. I used wet sponge and went over all seals then it started working fine. weird experience

Just bought it today, it does what’s advertised, loved that I can use old bags I had from temu, different sizes and width

FoodSaver products are as nonsensical as the script for this video. First they change the design as often as the presenter changes her clothes. Second, “Always make your bags bigger than you need them.” Think about that. If they ‘need’ to be bigger than they were needed to be … Thirdly, the air wasn’t escaping when she ‘opened’ the container. It was filling the vacuum in the container, duh. Their products are poorly designed, poorly engineered, and poorly manufactured.

I did use this as a drinking game and literally got so literally drunk that I literally still couldn't use the damned machine.

No similar design of claimed VACUUM STORAGE food container lasts more than a few months. There is always a weak link in the design - usually the silicon seals. Air will find its way in sooner or later. Move on, nothing to see here as they say in the movies. If they really worked as claimed, then every home home would have them!

This was the 3rd Food Saver I bought, I happened to find it at a Thrift store. Worked fantastic for awhile. My other FS lasted 5-15 years. I can’t say how old this was before purchasing. It can be stored upright which is a huge plus.

Your video is over 5 years and still helpful. Thank you to the moon and back for showing me how this one works. I've been trying to figure which model to get. I have had the white and gray handheld sealer and the little zippered baggies for many years and the battery has finally gave out and barely vacuums one bag before recharging. Time to recycle that at the electronics store and get a countertop model. I'm sure the vacuum will be much more powerful. I don't want to take up a lot of counter space and with this one standing taller and appears to have a smaller countertop footprint, this model I think wins for me. I did not know this one had the hose that comes out for the accessory. I can use it on my little zippered baggies I currently have. Thank you for showing how this model works. There's a newer model Foodsaver and the accessory handheld looks great, but the cord is extremely short and that ruined the deal on that one. This model you show has a nice length for the accessory hose. Winner winner chicken dinner! Thanks again for your time and your video.

all this information is great except no one has told me how to break the vacuum seal to get the lid off

Can anyone please tell me how to get the lid off after you finish marinating food in these containers?

Mine has never pulled all the air out (it does not do 5th light surge) and it does not auto seal the bag. When the light for sealing comes on, the air starts to leak. I know the sealer work since I can put a seal when making bags just not after sucking air out of it. I put it away when I moved and forgot about it and never called support or tried to return it when I should have that is on me. If i go for a new sealer I think I will go with another brand.
